ABInBev’s Jinja Plant wins best African Malting Plant in 2017

That Free To Grow’s programmes are life-changing for individuals is mostly accepted. Organisations, however, often ask what the impact is on the organisation. ABInbev’s Jinja Maltings Plant in Uganda answered this question when they were awarded the best Africa Malting Plant in 2017. This award recognises the best ABInbev VOPs plant in terms of safety, quality, best practices & other KPIs as benchmarked globally. VOPs plants in Africa includes all Maltings plants, Sugar Plants and Colleus plants.

A proud Alex Mugerwa, Maintenance & Safety Controller for the Maltings Plant, pictured with the award below, has the following to say about Free To Grow’s role in this achievement. “I believe FREE TO GROW contributed to this achievement by creating a self-driven team that delivers with a relaxed free mind and gradually graduating several members from passengers to paddlers hence contributing to continuous and sustainable improvement throughout the years”.
