Free To Grow plants a flag in the Channel Islands
Partnering with global advisory and fund administration firm, The Maitland Group, after their recent acquisition of a fund company in Guernsey, has taken Free To Grow into the Channel Islands and its 33rd country.
As the Executive team gear the business for further international growth and prepare for the challenges this may bring, they’ve recognised the importance of coaching as an essential component of their leadership development programme. To assist the Executive team on their coaching journey, Jo Thomson, who heads up Free To Grow’s newly formed Coaching business unit, Free To Grow Coaching, will deliver team and individual leadership coaching.
The journey kicked off in July with a team effectiveness workshop held in Guernsey, enabling the individuals in the Executive team to explore their individual strengths in more depth. They were then in a position to recognise the strengths in the team as a whole and to hold meaningful discussions within the team about their desired culture for the business, and their roles in supporting and driving their chosen culture. This 1-day workshop will be followed up with a structured one-on-one coaching programme for each member of the team.
“The workshop was a success”, says Jo “and it demonstrated the power of creating a safe space for people to challenge themselves, appreciate their strengths and work on their team.”
